AT BRUNTON FIRST SCHOOL

9am to 10am

in Term Time

A chance to meet friends and parents, indoors instead of in the playground, at Brunton First School every Thursday Morning during term time.  From just before 9 am to just before 10 am. Toddlers are welcome although it’s not obligatory to have a toddler to come along - it’s primarily a time for grown ups to talk and catch up!

Free Fairtrade tea, coffee and biscuits served. No charge - it’s just a community get together so everyone is welcome.

EVERY SECOND WEDNESDAY AT THE ARK IN THE PARK

1.45PM  TO 2.45PM

in Term Time

Come along to the ARK with your preschool children. Meet other parents and enjoy a chat and a tea or coffee. We will provide toys for the little ones to keep them occupied, but alongside us, while we have a chat. An informal topic for each time we meet, could be a themed talk with ideas for family life such as - watch a short film or listen to a visitor.  This is a new group so everyone is welcome to come along, share ideas and make it a success.

DRAWING FOR PLEASURE

EVERY WEDNESDAY

In St. Aidan’s Church

10.15am to 12.15pm

in Term Time

If you’ve ever wanted to be an artist, or learn to draw now is your chance. This is an established group which encourages new members to develop skills and enjoy drawing in an informal and sociable atmosphere. No exams - just go at your own pace.

We have an annual exhibition, a chance to show off your work to friends and family and raise money for a charity at the same time. The Drawing “subject” and initial tools and paper can be supplied so to come and see what we do. Cost £3.50 per session but only when you attend.

BOOK GROUP at the ARK

EVERY 3rd THURSDAY of the Month ( Not August ).

22nd April, 20th May, 17th June, 22nd July. Then again after Summer.

AT The ARK in the PARK

2pm to 3pm

This new group begins on Thursday 22nd April and welcomes readers of all ages to meet monthly and discuss the book of the month. Coffee and tea served. Free.
